Logos & Legere Psychotherapy
The name Logos & Legere Psychotherapy draws from the Latin legere and the Greek logos, two words that speak to the heart of therapy. Legere means to gather, to choose, and to interpret. Logos signifies word, reason, and the deeper coherence that underlies our lives. Together, they embody what therapy can offer: an opportunity to explore, reflect, and move forward with purpose.
Therapy is not a quick fix; it is an exploration that asks for honesty, curiosity, and the courage to face difficult truths. We begin by gathering the pieces of your experience: what you feel and remember, what you avoid, and what keeps returning. From there, we interpret, not to force a story, but to discover the deeper structures shaping thoughts, emotions, and relationships: loyalties, defenses, long-standing conflicts, and unspoken meanings that often live outside conscious awareness.
In this space of dialogue and reflection, patterns become visible. When you can see how the past speaks through the present, new options appear. Logos then becomes action: a clearer language for what you want, steadier boundaries, and practical steps that align with your values.
We’re not trying to erase the past; we’re learning from it, so you can move forward with purpose and a more coherent sense of self. I meet each person where they are and tailor the work accordingly, with changes you can feel in your day-to-day life.
Who I Support
I provide therapy across Ontario for individuals, couples, and teens from all walks of life. Along with supporting a wide range of concerns, I work with first responders, military members and their families, and people navigating grief, bereavement, serious illness, or end-of-life concerns. I also provide support for neurodiverse clients, with attention to sensory needs, executive functioning, and individual communication styles.
How Therapy Helps
Many people come to therapy with something urgent: difficulties with sleep, anxiety, conflict, burnout, or loss. Together, we address the immediate load and the underlying patterns: how you think, relate, protect, and hope. As those structures become clearer, the present becomes more understandable and workable. From there, we develop and practice new responses so that relief is not only possible but more likely to last.
My Approach
In our work together, we pay attention to what’s often missed: the meanings attached to symptoms, the origins of self-criticism, and the loyalties and values that quietly guide decisions. We pair insight with practical tools you can use between sessions: grounding strategies, sleep routines, communication skills, and values-based action.
